Hong Kong-based model manufacturer FLAME TOYS' "Kuro Kara Kuri" die-cast action figure series recently unveiled a new Transformers-themed product—the "Ultra Magnus" die-cast action figure, with a suggested retail price of US$400, slated for release in July 2025!
Ultra Magnus's alternate mode is an armored transport truck. He possesses exceptional combat skills and is one of the Autobots' great opinion leaders. His toy prototype was "Power Convoy" (item number C-69) from the Diaclone series developed by Japan's TAKARA company. It was based on Optimus Prime's "Battle Convoy" (as later depicted by Hasbro), with an added trailer that transforms into heavy weaponry. Consequently, his appearance is very similar to Optimus Prime, and in many works, he is described as being akin to Optimus Prime's brother!
This Kuro Kara Kuri Ultra Magnus die-cast action figure stands approximately 21 cm tall. Its design appears to reference Ultra Magnus's red and blue color scheme from the G1 animated movie, as well as his subsequent depiction in Marvel comics. It faithfully recreates the heavy, robust feel of the original Power Convoy combined with its trailer-transforming heavy weaponry. Building upon the existing design, the figure features more detailed segmentation to showcase its internal structure, including interesting details like a scope, storage backpack, and shoulder cannons. Crafted from ABS, PVC, and some die-cast materials, its striking metallic paint finish exudes an unparalleled presence!
The main body features LED light-up functions in areas such as the chest, eyes, shoulder cannons, and laser cannons, allowing it to maintain a powerful aura even in dark environments. The entire figure boasts a highly articulated design, with fully articulated fingers on the hands, allowing collectors to pose it gripping its laser gun accessory as they wish, providing a comprehensive play experience! Furthermore, ordering through official designated channels will include a special bonus—a long-handled hammer that can be stored, elevating its overall combat power to the next level!
