Japanese toy company KENELEPHANT will release a new gashapon toy, "MOGOL HAZARD Figure Collection by Takuma Fujisaki," in collaboration with Japanese pipe cleaner artist Takuma Fujisaki, in late October! There are four types to collect, with a suggested retail price of 500 JPY per capsule.
Previously, we introduced the "Tokyo Kaiju Universe" gashapon series, a collaboration between Japanese artist Takuma Fujisaki and KENELEPHANT. However, when Takuma Fujisaki's name is mentioned, most toy enthusiasts are probably more familiar with his pipe cleaner art (MOGOL ART) works. Each of these handmade, boldly colored, and fluffy mysterious creatures by Takuma Fujisaki has become a highly sought-after art piece among collectors in recent years. The flocked gashapon "MOGOL MUTANT," a collaboration between Takuma Fujisaki and KENELEPHANT, aims to let people easily experience the magic of these adorable creatures at an affordable price.
▼ KENELEPHANT's "MOGOL MUTANT" gashapon series – I personally collect every volume. Not only the excellent tactile feel from the flocking, but also their overall presence, playful designs, bold and vibrant colors, and more, are all part of their charm.
In Takuma Fujisaki's creative setting, MOGOL MUTANT resides in the underground world of コスモギャラクシティ (Cosmo Galaxy City, provisional translation). This new MOGOL HAZARD, however, originates from the surface of Cosmo Galaxy City. Compared to the relatively more bizarrely shaped MOGOL MUTANT, MOGOL HAZARD possesses a more human-like form. There are four types: pink, blue, yellow, and orange, each with a different pose. The surface, of course, maintains the high-quality flocking effect, making them look incredibly cute – definitely a must-collect!
