Following the first wave and second wave of their "JAWS Figure Collection," based on Steven Spielberg's classic thriller film "Jaws" and its sequels, TAKARA TOMY's toy brand T-ARTS is set to release the latest "JAWS Figure Collection 3" (JAWS フィギュアコレクション3) this October! There are four styles to collect, with a suggested retail price of 400 Japanese Yen per capsule.
This third wave of the Jaws Figure Collection gashapon primarily focuses on the original 1975 film, featuring "A MAN-EATING SHARK APPEARS" with a massive head and a JAWS nameplate base, "FEAR OF THE SEA" which includes a broken wooden board and a plain human figure, and "NO ESCAPE" which utilizes a flip mechanism to instantly reveal Bruce the shark from a calm sea. Additionally, there's "APPROACHING FANGS" from the 1983 film "Jaws 3-D."
Each gashapon offers excellent playability. Beyond the shark's own articulation, "FEAR OF THE SEA" even comes with an entire shark! And the editor's personal favorite is definitely the one where the sea flips to reveal the great white shark – it's incredibly fun.
