Following the 2018 US-Japan collaborative animated film 'Batman Ninja' (Japanese: ニンジャバットマン, English: Batman Ninja), DC Comics and Kamikaze Douga have once again teamed up for the new sequel 'Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League' (Japanese: ニンジャバットマン対ヤクザリーグ, English: Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League), which also released a new trailer at this year's New York Comic Con.
At the same time, the official announcement of the Japanese voice cast for the animated film 'Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League' was made. In addition to returning voice actors Koichi Yamadera and Yuki Kaji from the 'Bat Family', other confirmed voice cast members include: Sho Hayami as 'The Flash / Waidoten', Romi Park as 'Wonder Woman / The Great Anai', Ayane Sakura as 'Green Lantern (Jessica Cruz) / The Green Light of the Deer', Akio Otsuka as 'Aquaman / The Water Dragon Ashi', and Kazuhiko Inoue as 'Ra's al Ghul'.

'Batman Ninja' features common Japanese elements of time travel, along with themes of history, martial arts, and giant robots, among others. The title 'Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League' not only hints at the return of the Bat Family to the big screen but also adds the commonly seen 'Yakuza' element in Japanese culture.
Additionally, veteran voice actor Koichi Yamadera, who voiced 'Batman' Bruce Wayne in the 2018 animated film 'Batman Ninja', has confirmed his return to lend his voice for the new film; the original production team from the previous animated film, including director Junpei Mizusaki, writer Kazuki Nakashima, character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and composer Yugo Kanno, will also return, with animation production again handled by Kamikaze Douga.
