Japan's PLEX Co., Ltd. (株式会社プレックス) has collaborated with Azone to launch their latest product, the "Bamboo Art wa-gu-mi Godzilla (2023)" craft puzzle, with a suggested retail price of 19,800 JPY, slated for release in October 2024.
The "wa-gu-mi" series, a collection of high-quality bamboo crafts themed around traditional Japanese style, are eco-friendly products made from bamboo. Bamboo is an ecologically sustainable material that grows much faster than ordinary trees, making it highly efficient for use. Combining traditional Japanese design with precisely laser-cut parts, these models can be easily assembled without the need for tools or adhesives.
The "Bamboo Art wa-gu-mi Godzilla (2023)" craft puzzle is composed of 398 precisely cut bamboo sheet parts, each 2 mm thick. Once assembled, it stands approximately 20 cm tall with a tail length reaching 31 cm, accurately capturing Godzilla's massive physique, rough skin across its entire body, and sharp dorsal fins (the front of its face is quite interesting)! The beautiful bamboo grain offers a fresh and distinct style.
