Although 'Venom: The Last Dance' will be Tom Hardy's final chapter in the Spider-Man universe, he is still very eager to face off against Spider-Man played by Tom Holland.
Recently, the New York Comic Con was lively, and Tom Hardy, whose film will be released next week, stated that he is ready to confront Spider-Man 'today'.
"I really want to fight Spider-Man. I want to fight right now, and I'm 100% willing to face Spider-Man. I will never say never," he said: "Our mission is to bring Venom to the big screen, which we have accomplished. 'The Last Dance' is the final chapter of this trilogy, and we are very excited about it."
However, there may be more symbiote-related movies in the future. The latest 'Venom' teaser hints at the appearance of the evil extraterrestrial creator of the symbiote, Knull. In the trailer, there is a brief shot of him sitting on a black throne, with long white hair like in the comics.
Director Kelly Marcel introduced at the event that this is just the origin of Knull: "He is a character with a very large narrative, so we can't possibly tell his entire story at once; this is just the tip of the iceberg of his story. We have the opportunity to meet him, but how his future unfolds remains unknown," she also emphasized: "Eddie and Venom's story ends here, but as you know, there are many symbiote stories in the comics, and we have a lot of areas to expand upon, and perhaps some Easter eggs to embark on new journeys."
In the end-credits scenes of 'Venom 2: Let There be Carnage' and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home', Venom briefly crossed into the MCU universe due to Doctor Strange's magic. There have been rumors that Venom may officially join the MCU in the fourth 'Spider-Man' movie and may even appear in the upcoming 'Avengers: Secret Wars'.
Currently, the fourth 'Spider-Man' movie is confirmed to be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of 'Shang-Chi'. Holland revealed in an interview this week that he and his girlfriend 'MJ' Zendaya recently read the script for 'Spider-Man 4', stating that the current story proposal is outstanding:
"The script still has room for revisions, but this group of writers has brought us an amazing story. I read the script about three weeks ago, and it really reignited my passion. Zendaya and I sat down to read the script, and sometimes we got so excited that we jumped around in the living room. This is truly going to be a movie that fans will respect."
