After facing a director's departure and lead actress Jenna Ortega's exit due to scheduling conflicts, "Scream 7" is reportedly moving closer to production, with foreign media suggesting the horror sequel has found its next potential star.
According to reports, 18-year-old actress Mckenna Grace, known for her role in "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire," is in talks with the studio to portray Tatum, the eldest daughter of Neve Campbell's iconic character, Sidney Prescott.
However, it's worth noting that Sidney Prescott's daughter in "Scream 7" is reportedly named Taylor, not Tatum. While Taylor could be an alias for Tatum, it's also possible she is another one of Sidney's daughters.
In addition to Mckenna Grace potentially joining the cast and Neve Campbell's confirmed return, Courteney Cox and Patrick Dempsey are also set to reprise their roles on the big screen. Cox will once again play Gale Weathers, and Dempsey will return as Detective Mark Kincaid.
