From Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY's "Tomica" (トミカ/TOMICA) brand, the "TOMICA PREMIUM unlimited" series, which aims to excite adults, will release the third-generation Mini 4WD vehicles of the Seiba brothers, developed in collaboration with Tamiya: the "Cyclone Magnum" (サイクロンマグナム) and "Hurricane Sonic" (ハリケーンソニック), on December 21, 2024! The suggested retail price for each model is 1,430 JPY (tax included).
The Cyclone Magnum is a vehicle that combines the design of "Go Seiba" with the technical prowess of "J." Go further enhanced the characteristic of "lightweighting," utilizing extremely low air resistance to achieve higher acceleration in straight lines and capable of performing its special move, the "Cyclone Magnum Tornado." On the other hand, the Hurricane Sonic, belonging to "Retsu Seiba," captain of Japan's TRF Victorys, is a vehicle boasting high stability and significant torque. Not only does it surpass previous models in straight-line acceleration, but it also achieves unparalleled ultra-high-speed cornering through a turning method similar to an airplane's wing principle.
While detailed specifications for the Cyclone Magnum and Hurricane Sonic, now three-dimensionalized in the TOMICA PREMIUM unlimited series, have not yet been announced, their length is expected to be around 12 cm. Within this exquisite size, both vehicles' forms, their distinctive rear wings, classic color schemes, and the "Go" and "Retsu" characters – which are arguably their souls – have been meticulously reproduced.
