Following their previous "Spider-Man (1994)" release, renowned poster design and toy company MONDO has once again unveiled a new product based on the classic animated series "Spider-Man: The Animated Series"—the "Venom" 1/6 scale articulated figure. It will be available in a Standard Edition and an Exclusive Edition, limited to 1,500 units. The suggested retail prices are $245 and $255 respectively. Pre-orders are now open on MONDO's official website, with an estimated shipping date of December 2024!
In "Spider-Man: The Animated Series," Eddie Brock was Peter's unpopular journalist colleague at the Daily Bugle. When Peter used church bells to separate himself from the symbiote, Eddie was accidentally bonded with the symbiote that fell from the bell tower. Through the symbiote's memories, he learned that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, swore revenge on him, and transformed into the villain Venom.
This 1/6 scale articulated Venom figure stands approximately 33 cm tall, making it slightly larger than the previously released Spider-Man figure. It faithfully sculpts his massive physique as seen in the show, utilizing a signature flat-painting technique to capture the cel-animated, two-dimensional style of the series. It also recreates the red and blue reflections used on Venom's left and right sides in the animation, combined with shadow blocks to achieve an overall flat visual effect!
Accessories include an Eddie head sculpt, a Venom alternate head sculpt with a protruding tongue, various web-slinging effects, and interchangeable hands. The Exclusive Edition additionally includes symbiote accessories, a Venom head sculpt revealing Eddie's face, a tongue-out head sculpt with slime detailing, and web-trap hand replacement parts, allowing you to recreate various scenes from the show with Spider-Man!
