Marvel Comics Unleashes Epic Multiverse War: "Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse" Set to Clash

While the big screen recently wrapped up the critically panned "Venom" film trilogy, and the highly anticipated sequel to "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse," has unfortunately been delayed indefinitely, fans can still look forward to an epic showdown in the comic book realm with the upcoming "Marvel's Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse."

Marvel Comics' "Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse" is reportedly set to launch in May 2025. While details regarding the comic's writers, artists, and specific plot remain under wraps, the title itself strongly suggests a massive multiversal conflict, pitting characters from both the Spider-Verse and Venomverse against each other in what promises to be a spectacular war.

Beyond "Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse," Marvel Comics is also preparing to release the Spider-Man-centric series "8 Deaths of Spider-Man." This 10-issue limited series is a collaboration between writers Joe Kelly and Justina Ireland, and artists Ed McGuinness and Gleb Melnikov. The story reportedly follows Doctor Doom after he replaces Doctor Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Universe, crafting a mysterious new suit for Spider-Man and granting him eight additional lives.

Meanwhile, the Venomverse will see the launch of "Eddie Brock: Carnage." Written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Jesus Saiz, this series explores Eddie Brock's transformation as he bonds with the Carnage symbiote, becoming a more bloodthirsty and brutal entity. The narrative will focus on Eddie's internal struggle, questioning whether he can control Carnage or be completely consumed by it.
