I'm MeowxRabbit, it's a pleasure to meet you! (๑ • ‿ • ๑)
This time, I'm sharing a commissioned build of the Aoshima Issuxark 00-X3/II model kit, the Randoll version, featuring the deployed Boost Mode!!
Before starting the build, I rewatched the anime and was completely blown away by the deployed boosters. I immediately discussed creating them with the client!

The reason for adding the boosters was simply because they looked so cool on the box art.
But after a straight build, it felt like something was missing...

▲Many details from the box art are not present on the model kit.

▲Additionally, the proportions were altered. The overall size is now 130x200mm, approximately 1:20 scale (the official 1:24 scale would be about 98x168mm).

The overall feel was a huge departure from the sleeker, more elongated designs of other machines from SIN or Road to Infinity.
Changing the proportions would require massive modifications, so I decided to enhance the visual impact of the rear section instead.
So, I referenced the art books and in-game appearances of the boosters to model them,
recreating the Issuxark 00-X3/II's magnificent Solar Wings as seen in Randoll's stunning anime appearance!!

✦Aoshima Original - Fan Mode

▲The headlights feature a transparent yellow-to-red gradient, and the canopy's translucent blue and yellow make the car body pop.

▲To enhance the overall detail, the plain rubber tires, which tend to get sticky, were replaced with 3D-printed parts. Adding lettering gives them a much more refined look.

▲The original rubber tires were already starting to attract dust...

▲Multiple colors were used to give the cockpit buttons more dimension. Hopefully, it's not too flashy (「・ω・)「

▲The boosters and front/rear spoilers are painted with a pearlescent silver-white. The main body panels are color-separated using a white base with iridescent purple and green.
For the dark blue sections, after applying the waterslide decals, the red and white areas were masked off, and then a chameleon paint was applied to create a color-shifting effect at different angles.
*The effect is more noticeable under specific lighting or when viewed in person.

▲The iridescent purple and green over the white base is more apparent in this photo.

▲The original kit comes with a helmet, but I also modeled a head of Randoll for optional display.

✦Booster Mode - Conversion Kit
The following are the additional and modified parts created for this commission:
The booster assembly, a raised display stand and connectors for the boosters, 6 modified tires (2 large, 4 small),
a closed-fan conversion part, the LCD panel and its connector, and the Randoll head sculpt.

▲Left: Aoshima's original open fan parts.
Center: Aoshima's original closed fan part (completely lacking in detail... not worth using).
Right: The custom conversion part, with added panel lines for the closed fan state.

Details

▲The LCD panel's circuitry was modeled with reference to the official art books to replicate the original details as closely as possible.

▲The spiral deployment mechanism of the boosters also follows the original design, with alternating clockwise and counter-clockwise spirals.

▲The LCD panel connection point.

▲The inner structure of the exhaust pipes also features a spiral pattern.

▲A fluorescent panel liner was applied, which emits a faint blue glow under UV light, giving it a very high-tech feel.
And that concludes my showcase of the Issuxark 00-X3/II Randoll version model.
The most challenging parts were replicating the official design and getting the height and proportions right, which required repeated measurements and adjustments.
Finding the perfect height that matched the source material while ensuring the overall look was cohesive and aesthetically pleasing was key.
The connection point for the circuit board when deployed uses magnets to hold it at a balanced height.
After that, it was a matter of adding color separation to the white body, detailing the tires, applying decals, and faithfully recreating the boosters.
I did my best to meet the client's requests and capture Randoll's elegant yet flamboyantly high-profile personality,
to make the original model kit look more dynamic and stunning!!

▲Here's a bonus shot of an "impossible mode"—accelerating and braking at the same time. Looks epic.
