Following the recent release of the "T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)," the world-renowned Hong Kong toy brand HOT TOYS today (30th) once again announced its latest product from Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the "T-1000 (2.0)" 1/6th scale collectible figure! It is expected to ship from Q4 2025 to Q1 2026, with a suggested retail price of HKD 2,090.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day continues the plot of the first film. After Skynet failed to assassinate Sarah Connor, it sent the T-1000, a newer and more powerful model than the T-800, to 1995 to kill Sarah Connor's son, John Connor, the future leader of humanity. The human resistance, in turn, sent a T-800 Terminator, identical to the one in the first film but modified, to protect John.
Composed of liquid metal, the T-1000 is not only more advanced, capable of freely passing through iron bars and changing its form at will, but firearm attacks can only temporarily impede its movement. In the film's climax, after being hit by a grenade fired by the T-800 and exploding, it falls into molten steel. Ultimately, the extreme heat of the molten steel prevents the T-1000 from maintaining its form, leading to its demise. Robert Patrick's portrayal of the T-1000 in the film consistently exuded a terrifying aura, always appearing effortlessly in control. Its elegant yet deadly image is undoubtedly deeply ingrained in the hearts of many old-school toy collectors.
This figure stands approximately 31 cm tall and features 30 points of articulation throughout its body. It meticulously recreates the T-1000's police uniform from the film, and can also be displayed in its motorcycle cop appearance using the additional black jacket, black long boots, helmet, and sunglasses. The head sculpts include a version that faithfully captures Robert Patrick's facial contours from 1991, and a battle-damaged version with a large hole blown out of its right eye. Whether it's the flowing texture of liquid metal, the irregular shapes, or the terrifying deformation of the face due to impact, both are exceptionally rendered. Furthermore, both head sculpts feature rolling eyeballs, allowing for even greater expressive possibilities.
Accessories include a standard police pistol, submachine gun, handcuffs, flashlight, walkie-talkie, and a full array of T-1000 liquid metal transformation effects: a pair of claw-shaped forearms, a blade forearm, interchangeable hands in metallic spike form, and high boots in liquid metal state. Also included is a set of bullet-hole effects (equipped via magnetic attachment) to recreate being shot, plus a foundry-themed base featuring an LED light-up function. This is truly exciting!
