Eddie Redmayne, who stars as Newt Scamander in the "Harry Potter" prequel spin-off "Fantastic Beasts" series, previously sparked fan uproar when he regretfully announced in an interview with foreign media that the "Wizarding World" franchise would not be continuing with further installments.
Now, not only Eddie Redmayne, but Jude Law, who plays the young Albus Dumbledore, has also confirmed in a recent interview that Warner Bros. has abandoned plans for the previously scheduled fourth and fifth installments of the "Fantastic Beasts" series, while also revealing the potential reasons behind the cancellation.

"As far as I know, the series has indeed been put on hold," Jude Law stated. "But my own guess is that because Warner Bros. is now about to shoot a TV series for 'Harry Potter,' they might be focusing their attention there. So far, I haven't heard any new developments regarding the 'Fantastic Beasts' series."
The "Fantastic Beasts" series started strong with its first film in 2016, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," which garnered widespread critical acclaim and impressive global box office returns. However, subsequent installments, including "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" and "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore," faced mixed reviews and less-than-ideal box office performance, with the third film's earnings only reaching about half of the original's.

While there has been no official explanation from Warner Bros. regarding the cancellation of the "Fantastic Beasts" series, this regrettable outcome was largely anticipated by many viewers.
