Hong Kong toy brand "ACTION TOYS", known for its "MINI ACTION" and "MINI DEFORMED" robot toy series, will be releasing articulated figures of the protagonist robots "Tetsujin 28-go FX" and "Tetsujin 17-go Phoenix" from the classic robot anime 《Super Electric Robot Tetsujin 28-go FX》 under its "MINI Alloy" series. They are expected to launch in Q2 2025, priced at HKD 680.
The late manga artist Mitsuteru Yokoyama launched the work 《Tetsujin 28-go》 in 1956 to great acclaim. In 1980, it was re-released as 《Taiyo no Shisha Tetsujin 28-go》 (太陽の使者 鉄人28号) with slightly modified design and colors. 《Super Electric Robot Tetsujin 28-go FX》 is the third animated work in the Tetsujin 28-go series, a direct sequel to the first story, skipping the second work. It tells the story of Shotaro Kaneda's son, Masato Kaneda, and members of the Boy Detectives piloting Tetsujin 28-go FX to fight against the evil organization "Neo BLACK Organization".
This Tetsujin 28-go FX from ACTION TOYS' MINI Alloy series maintains the line's play-friendly size, standing approximately 15 cm tall. Made of alloy, it has a substantial and premium feel, with multiple articulated joints throughout the body, allowing it to recreate many majestic moves and poses from the series. The product also includes the "Tetsujin 17-go Phoenix" bird-shaped flying robot, which can also combine with Tetsujin, recreating the heroic姿態 of the duo. Accessories include interchangeable hand parts and a dedicated display stand.
