MONDO, the renowned poster design and toy company, has announced a new product based on the classic series "Batman: The Animated Series"—the "Scarecrow" 1/6 scale articulated figure. Both a limited edition and a regular edition will be released simultaneously, with reference prices of US$210 and US$195 respectively. Pre-orders are now open on the MONDO official website, with an estimated shipping date of January 2025!
Scarecrow first appeared in Season 1, Episode 10, "Nothing to Fear." His real name is Jonathan Crane, a twisted psychiatrist and chemistry professor who specializes in using fear-inducing compounds for terrorist attacks, with the ultimate goal of paralyzing Gotham City with fear.
Scarecrow had two different villainous appearances in the series. This figure primarily adopts his re-drawn facial sculpt from his second appearance in the show, meticulously recreating his eerie and unsettling facial features and slender physique. The figure is painted with a flat, cel-shaded style to capture the two-dimensional aesthetic of the animated series. The regular edition accessories include his iconic scythe weapon, a hand for releasing gas, two additional interchangeable hands, a Dr. Jonathan Crane head sculpt, a test tube, a stopwatch, and two crows to complement his sinister display!
Furthermore, the limited edition will additionally include his first appearance head sculpt from "Nothing to Fear," a more terrifying second version head sculpt as seen in illusions, and a character model of the Joker-ized rat that Batman sees in his endless hallucinations in Season 1, Episode 31, "Dreams in Darkness," offering an even richer play experience!
