Today (the 1st), Bandai Spirits Japan announced the latest product from "Ultraman Arc," the "Sound x Action Shout! Ultraman Arc" (tentative translation, サウンド×アクション 叫ぶ！ウルトラマンアーク) action figure! It is scheduled for release on November 23, 2024, with a suggested retail price of 3,960 JPY (tax included).
Since K-DAY (Kaiju Day) 16 years ago, when monsters simultaneously appeared across the globe, kaiju disasters have become a part of daily life. In Japan, in addition to the "Earth Defense Force" which subdues monsters with military force, there is also "SKIP," the Scientific Kaiju Prevention and Investigation Institute, dedicated to preventing and mitigating kaiju disasters. The protagonist of this series, Yuma Hishiki, is a new member of SKIP with extensive knowledge of kaiju. While SKIP was investigating the cosmic parasitic organism "Utsu" from a kaiju horn, they were suddenly attacked by a monster. In the nick of time, Yuma connected with "Lution," a messenger of light from a distant galaxy, transforming into the mysterious giant who protects humanity!
This Ultraman Arc figure, three-dimensionalized at a height of 18 cm with 22 points of articulation, is designed based on his initial appearance in the series. It faithfully recreates his silver and red body, the color timer on his chest, and his head design which incorporates elements of a cosmic boomerang. In addition to posing Ultraman Arc in various dynamic battle stances thanks to its articulation, pressing the button on his back activates sound effects. These include his iconic line "Unleash your imagination!", as well as sounds for his beam attacks like Arc Finalize and his defensive barrier Arc Giga Barrier... a total of 40 different sound effects!
