Bandai Co., Ltd. of Japan has announced a brand new sub-series for its popular tokusatsu and kaiju-themed soft vinyl toy line, 'MOVIE MONSTER'. The new line, 'MOVIE MONSTER YAKUDO' (躍動, meaning 'dynamic' or 'leaping'), will launch with 'Godzilla (2023)' from the movie 'Godzilla Minus One', scheduled for release in late March 2025.
Compared to the more static standard poses of the regular MOVIE MONSTER series, the new 'MOVIE MONSTER YAKUDO' series adopts a wider variety of dynamic poses to recreate iconic, action-packed scenes from the film. The first product in this series faithfully reproduces the imposing and despair-inducing cool back view of Godzilla from the 'Godzilla Minus One' movie poster.
The 'MOVIE MONSTER YAKUDO Godzilla (2023)' stands approximately 15 cm tall and is crafted from soft vinyl to capture its powerful, wide-legged physique, the massive, radiating dorsal fins, and a dynamically sculpted tail. From specific angles, it faithfully recreates the powerful stance seen in the movie poster.
