To commemorate its 70th anniversary, Japan's iconic special effects monster, Godzilla, has announced a collaboration with Bandai Toys' legendary LCD toy, "Digital Monster," from the Digimon series. This cross-over product, "Godzilla VS Digimon Digital Monster COLOR," will allow players to raise Godzilla and other monsters. Further product details will be revealed at a later date.
The "Godzilla VS Digimon Digital Monster COLOR" product is expected to be released in two versions with different appearances and colors, continuing the gameplay of the original Digital Monster. The toy will feature numerous Toho special effects monsters and Digimon, led by Godzilla and Agumon. Players will be able to raise them, battle, and evolve them into more powerful forms. There will even be an original Digimon specially designed to fuse the images of "Godzilla" and "WarGreymon"!
Official specifications have not yet been announced, but judging from the previously released "Monster Hunter Collaboration Digital Monster COLOR" and the silhouette, the hardware is likely based on the "Digital Monster COLOR 20th Anniversary Reissue" released in the past. It will feature a color LCD screen, USB Type-C charging functionality, and even the ability to connect with previously released COLOR series devices for cross-over battles between Digimon and Toho special effects monsters!
