American toy brand SUPER7's 3.75-inch blister card toy series "ReAction Figures," after releasing a rich array of characters based on "Transformers," is now bringing us the "The Ark Playset"! Expected to ship in mid-November 2024, with a suggested retail price of 75 USD.
In the original 1984 "Transformers" animation, the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, departed Cybertron aboard the colossal spaceship "The Ark." They were not only attacked by the Decepticons, led by Megatron, leading to an invasion and chaotic battle on the ship, but later crashed at the foot of a volcano somewhere on Earth. Four million years later, due to a volcanic eruption, The Ark's scanning and repair equipment was activated, awakening the long-dormant Transformers, who once again began their conflict on Earth.
This Ark Playset, commercialized as a boxed set for ReAction Figures, includes 3.75-inch Optimus Prime and Megatron articulated figures, which are limited editions with metallic paint finishes. Additionally, there's a scene set approximately 30 cm tall, composed of a plastic base symbolizing Earth's soil and rock environment, and a double-sided background sheet. The background sheet features two designs: The Ark crashing on Earth and the epic battle between the two factions in space.
