Following the astounding box office success of "Deadpool & Wolverine," Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are set to deliver another surprise to fans. In a recent interview with Variety, Reynolds confirmed he is developing a new "non-Marvel" project, once again collaborating with his close friend Jackman and director Shawn Levy.
"I'm focusing on writing a movie for myself, Hugh, and Shawn to do that is not Marvel for the next year," Reynolds stated during the interview.
While he did not disclose specific plot details, reports indicate it will be a fresh and unexpected production. Although it's currently unclear if the project has been greenlit by a studio, given the explosive success of "Deadpool & Wolverine," this new film is undoubtedly poised to be one of the most anticipated releases.

This marks Reynolds' fourth collaboration with Shawn Levy, following "Deadpool & Wolverine," the action-comedy "Free Guy," and "The Adam Project."
"Deadpool & Wolverine" has already surpassed $636 million at the North American box office, making it the 12th highest-grossing film of all time, trailing only Pixar's "Inside Out 2" and outperforming Warner Bros.' phenomenon "Barbie." Furthermore, the film broke the record set by 2019's "Joker" to become the highest-grossing R-rated film in history. Marvel Studios reportedly plans to campaign "Deadpool & Wolverine" for next year's awards season, with rumors also suggesting Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds could host next year's Academy Awards.
