Just last week, Toho officially announced that "Godzilla Minus One" director Takashi Yamazaki would return to helm the 31st film in the "Godzilla" franchise. Following the monumental international success of "Godzilla Minus One," Yamazaki has garnered significant recognition from Hollywood directors. He recently confirmed at an event that Marvel President Kevin Feige is a huge fan of "Godzilla Minus One," even personally calling him to praise the film and express interest in future collaborations.
According to a report from VirtualGorilla, Yamazaki revealed at a Tokyo International Film Festival panel celebrating Godzilla's 70th anniversary that he had a conversation with Marvel President Kevin Feige:
"The Marvel President yelled at me, 'Wadatsumi!' He also told me, 'We're all having meetings every day to see if we can make it happen like that.' But I just thought it was polite talk!"

Yamazaki also stated that while he couldn't disclose specific details, he had received several "great offers" from Hollywood but turned them down to focus on directing his next "Godzilla" film. However, after "Godzilla Minus One" earned a staggering $116 million globally on a budget of less than $10 million, Yamazaki's involvement in a Hollywood production would undoubtedly bring a fresh dynamic.
