Following the creation of multiple characters from Q Hayashida's Japanese manga series Dorohedoro, Hong Kong toy manufacturer threezero's 1/6 scale articulated figure series "FigZero" officially announced its latest product today (6th): "Ebisu (Peace Shark Team Mascot Version)"! Pre-orders are scheduled to open on November 7, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., with shipping expected to begin in Q3 2025.
In the world of Dorohedoro, Ebisu (えびす) possesses the "ability to turn people into reptiles," and as a flat-chested girl, she is very self-conscious about it. This latest FigZero series three-dimensional rendition is based on her appearance as the mascot for the "Peace Shark Team" in the story. Not only does she wear a full uniform and cleats, but she can also freely don the super cute shark mascot costume! The costume features embedded bendable metal wires, running from the shark's nose tip along its spine to the tail, providing support for the entire costume and allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses – incredibly fun! Furthermore, the dirty, weathered treatment perfectly conveys the worn-out equipment setting of the team.
Next, let's look at the specifications of this figure. The figure stands approximately 24.5 cm tall, and 28.5 cm tall when wearing the shark mascot costume. It features a total of 34 points of articulation throughout the body and is constructed from composite materials including PVC, ABS, POM, and fabric. The head sculpts include a skull mask and a bare-faced version sculpted by the renowned prototype artist "Maki Asai." Accessories include a pair of sickles, a Peace Shark Team member recruitment flyer, a purple square backpack, a drink mixed with sleeping pills, and interchangeable hands. threezero's official website also states that the left and right fins of the shark costume and the sleeping pill drink all feature magnets, allowing for the recreation of manga scenes – absolutely fantastic!
