Following "EVA Unit-01 Berserk," Japanese toy brand Kaiyodo's plastic assembly model series "ARTPLA SCULPTURE WORKS" has once again announced its latest product from "Neon Genesis Evangelion": the "EVA Mass Production Model Assault." It will have a reference price of 7,700 JPY and is scheduled for release in February 2025!
The "ARTPLA SCULPTURE WORKS EVA Mass Production Model Assault" plastic assembly model kit is based on the GK (Garage Kit) created by OZ sculptor Akira Tani in 1997. Through 3D scanning, every detail has been thoroughly reproduced, faithfully recreating the Mass Production Model's eerie face and slender yet muscular physique. The massive wings on its back are a single-piece molding, boasting an impressive span of 470mm when deployed. The simple parts structure is both elegant and stable! The kit utilizes a pearl gray molded color, allowing it to achieve a statue-like quality upon assembly, while painting can reproduce its in-series appearance.
Additionally, the shape of the wings has been subtly adjusted with an undulating design that offers varying visual changes when viewed from different angles. The size of the rubble on the base has also been increased to provide more robust support for the Mass Production Model's top-heavy design.
