Issued by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the 'S.H.MonsterArts' series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, today officially unveiled the full details of its latest product, "Anguirus (1972)", from the film Godzilla vs. Gigan. It is scheduled for release in May 2025. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.

The film Godzilla vs. Gigan, which celebrates its 50th anniversary since its release, marks the debut of the popular monster Gigan. In the story, the villainous M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens, in their bid to invade Earth, not only transformed a space dinosaur into the cyborg monster Gigan but also enlisted the powerful space monster King Ghidorah. They manipulated them to attack Earth by transmitting signals from the "Godzilla Tower". However, Earth's monster duo, Godzilla and Anguirus, had long since detected their invasion intentions and launched a counterattack against the invading alien monsters.
The "S.H.MonsterArts Anguirus (1972)" recreates this monster, which mutated from an ankylosaurus due to nuclear testing, at a full length of 36 cm. The overall sculpt is based on the suit used in the film at the time, thoroughly reproducing the high-density spikes on various parts of its body and its dorsal carapace. Furthermore, the entire body features precisely articulated joint divisions, creating flexible, twistable joints that do not expose unsightly gaps. The jaw, neck, torso, limbs, and tail are all poseable, allowing for the recreation of its quadrupedal crawling appearance from the film.

By pairing it with previously released products such as "Godzilla (1972)" and "Gigan (1972)", you can recreate battle scenes from the film.
