Following the release of Jack Black's other holiday film, "Red One," Paramount Pictures has now unveiled the first trailer for his upcoming Christmas movie, "Dear Santa," on X (formerly Twitter). The studio also released several new movie stills via Entertainment Weekly.
The Christmas feature "Dear Santa" marks a reunion for the filmmaking duo Bobby and Peter Farrelly, best known for "Dumb and Dumber." Bobby Farrelly directs the film, while Peter Farrelly penned the screenplay and serves as a producer. This project marks their first collaboration in a decade, following 2014's "Dumb and Dumber To."
"Dear Santa" tells the story of a young boy whose Christmas wish goes awry when he accidentally misspells "Santa" as "Satan." This clerical error leads Satan to receive his first-ever letter from a child, prompting him to impersonate Santa Claus and fulfill the boy's wishes.

In addition to Jack Black, the cast features Keegan-Michael Key, musician Post Malone, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, and P.J. Byrne, among others.
"Dear Santa" is set to premiere exclusively on Paramount+ on November 25, 2024.
