Following the "Dinosaurs" series, Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy brand in Japan has announced its latest cute and cool product in the "Creature Encyclopedia Repti" series: the "Creature Encyclopedia Repti Crocodile" gashapon! There are five types in total, with a reference price of 500 JPY per capsule, scheduled for release in March 2025.
The "Creature Encyclopedia Repti Crocodile" gashapon, with sculpting by reptile prototype artist Kondo from Shin Kobo and coloring by Jiro Miura, realistically recreates the crocodile's sharp teeth and distinctive skin texture in a capsule toy size of approximately 10 cm. The glossy sheen and unique patterns and colors are also faithfully reproduced. Simple movable joints are designed in 7 places, including the mouth, neck, and tail, allowing for poses such as an open-mouthed threat! The lineup includes Nile Crocodiles in three body colors (green, gray, and dark) and Gharials in two body colors (gray and dark). Although their gaze is sharp, their baby crocodile size, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, makes them quite adorable overall!
