"Final Destination: Bloodlines," the sixth installment in the "Final Destination" franchise, officially began filming in March. The film was set to delve into the backstory of William Bludworth, the mysterious mortician who made cameo appearances in the first, second, and fifth films. Now, this upcoming movie will tragically mark the final screen appearance for the actor behind the iconic role.
Tony Todd, the acclaimed actor, passed away on November 6 at his home in Los Angeles, confirmed by his agency. He was 69 years old.
Born on December 4, 1954, in Washington, D.C., Tony Todd's early career included a notable role as Sergeant Warren in Oliver Stone's Vietnam War classic "Platoon." Throughout the 1980s and 90s, he also appeared in numerous classic television series such as "21 Jump Street," "Night Court," "MacGyver," "Law & Order," "The X-Files," and various "Star Trek" series.

In recent years, beyond his recurring role as the "mysterious coroner" in the "Final Destination" films, Todd was widely recognized for portraying the titular killer in the "Candyman" film series. His distinctive, deep voice also made him a sought-after voice actor for several popular video game characters. These included the Vortigaunts in the "Half-Life" series, Dreadwing in "Transformers: Prime," The Fallen in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," Venom in "Marvel’s Spider-Man 2," Darkseid in the DC Animated Movie Universe, and Zoom in "The Flash" TV series.
While "Final Destination: Bloodlines" has reportedly completed filming, an official statement regarding the impact of Todd's passing on the film's release or any potential dedications is still awaited.
