Marvel's animated series "What If...?" Season 3, set to premiere next month on Disney+, recently debuted its key art poster at the D23 Brazil Expo. The poster features a host of imaginative multiverse variants that will be familiar to viewers who have followed the first two seasons, including the prominent Watcher, White Vision, Arishem the Judge, and the returning Season 2 original character Kahhori.
The biggest surprise, however, is the appearance of X-Men member Storm, seen wielding Mjolnir. Earlier this year, Marvel launched the "X-Men '97" animated series, and reports indicate that original "X-Men" animated series voice actress Alison Sealy-Smith will return to voice Storm. While this isn't the first time mutants have crossed paths with the Avengers in the MCU multiverse, and this storyline likely draws inspiration from "X-Men: Annual #9," "What If...?" typically subverts and expands upon existing MCU main universe narratives. The prospect of seeing how Storm becomes Odin's chosen one is highly anticipated.
Marvel has yet to release a trailer for "What If...?" Season 3, though it is reportedly set to drop on the 11th. Fans are undoubtedly eager for more frequent interactions between the Avengers and the X-Men in the future.
