Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON division will release a new product, a dream collaboration between the classic anime "Sgt. Frog" and popular Sanrio characters – the "Sgt. Frog x Sanrio Characters Rubber Charm Collection" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 300 JPY per turn, with an expected release in late February 2025!
"Sgt. Frog" (ケロロ軍曹) is a monthly manga series created by Japanese manga artist Mine Yoshizaki, which was adapted into a TV anime by Sunrise in 2004. The story follows Sgt. Keroro and his team, alien invaders from "Keron Star," who are dispatched for reconnaissance. However, Sgt. Keroro's infiltration into the Hinata household is exposed, and the invasion headquarters, deeming discovery a risk, urgently withdraws from Earth, leaving Keroro and his team to embark on a boisterous comedic daily life at the Hinata residence.
This "Sgt. Frog x Sanrio Characters Rubber Charm Collection" pairs members of the Keroro Platoon with Sanrio characters. The pairings are Keroro with Keroppi, Tamama with Cinnamoroll, Giroro with Kuromi, Kururu with Pompompurin, and Dororo with Hangyodon. The heads of the characters from both IPs are dressed up as each other and made into rubber charms, available in 10 different designs. The interaction between the two on the official illustrations is truly super cute! Toy enthusiasts who love Sgt. Frog and Sanrio characters shouldn't miss out!
