Following Disney+'s July 2024 announcement of the actor cast as Tyson, the Cyclops, for the second season of "Percy Jackson & the Olympians," titled "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters," the official D23 Brazil event this year revealed that acclaimed American singer Andra Day (pictured right below) will portray Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom.
Day's Athena will make her debut alongside other new additions to "Sea of Monsters," including Tamara Smart as Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, and Daniel Diemer (pictured left below) as the aforementioned Tyson, Percy's half-brother.
The core cast is also set to return for "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" Season 2, with Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, and Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, among others.
