BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s Collectors Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, is set to release a dreamy new product in collaboration with Disney under its popular die-cast toy "Chogokin" series: "Chogokin Super Transform Mickey Mouse by Kunio Okawara". It will have a suggested retail price of 16,500 JPY and is scheduled for release in June 2025!
Mickey Mouse Super Transforms!! "Chogokin Super Transform Mickey Mouse by Kunio Okawara" is an original design by the renowned mechanical designer Kunio Okawara. Through Okawara-sensei's simple yet bold style, Mickey Mouse is given a robot form.
Made from die-cast, ABS, and PVC, it creates a simple yet robust appearance, with articulated joints designed in the neck, arms, legs, and tail. Finally, a sophisticated transformation design is incorporated, allowing the Mickey robot to achieve a simple yet distinct super transformation!
▼The internal die-cast parts are strategically placed in a balanced manner to ensure weight balance before and after transformation.
▼During transformation, it inverts front-to-back and top-to-bottom, with Mickey's face hidden behind the robot form, making it quite cute and amusing.
The robot's head, chest, and arm guards (Mickey's shoes before transformation) feature electroplating, presenting a realistic robot with a Chogokin-like texture. Mickey's striking red pants and tail can be removed and used as the robot's shield and long sword accessories. Small thoughtful details, such as the Mickey Mouse logo on the robot's tiny ears and shoulders, make the overall design cool yet adorable!
