Japan's toy company Good Smile Company's best-selling "Nendoroid" (ねんどろいど) series is scheduled to release a figure of "Asta," the protagonist from the popular work Black Clover, in May 2025, priced at 7,500 JPY.
Black Clover is a shonen manga series created by Japanese manga artist "Yūki Tabata," centered around magic battles. It began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in issue #12 of 2015, with an anime adaptation launching in October 2017. The story primarily follows the protagonist Asta and his close friend Yuno, both aspiring to become the strongest magic user, the "Wizard King." Yuno possesses exceptional natural talent, but Asta is born without any magical power. Unexpectedly, he acquires the legendary "Black Clover" grimoire and obtains a black greatsword from it, thereby gaining anti-magic abilities. Subsequently, Asta is noticed by Yami, the captain of the Magic Knights squad "Black Bulls," who invites him to join. Asta then meets his fellow squad member Noelle and many seniors within the squad, and the story unfolds from there.
This Nendoroid Asta, released by GOOD SMILE COMPANY, faithfully recreates his appearance and design from the original work. Standing approximately 10 cm tall, Asta is depicted in his Black Bulls attire, complete with the Black Bulls emblem. He comes with three interchangeable face plates: a standard expression, a battle-ready expression, and an expression with sparkling eyes. As for accessories, his signature weapon, the "Demon-Slayer Sword," obtained from the Black Clover grimoire, is naturally included.
