From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, the "METAL ROBOT魂" series, which combines metallic-textured paintwork and an alloy frame, has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY", the "Strike Freedom Gundam [Re:Coordinate]", scheduled for release in June 2025. This product will be sold through general retail channels.
The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam is the mobile suit piloted by protagonist Kira Yamato in "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY". Equipped with the Hyper Deuterion Engine, which generates a massive amount of energy, it can deploy a large array of high-power beam weapons such as High-Energy Beam Rifles, Xiphias 3 Rail Cannons, and Balaena Plasma Beam Cannons. Furthermore, it features "Super DRAGOON" Mobile Weapon Wings on its back, utilizing a total of 8 "Beam Assault Cannons" on both sides to launch all-range attacks. Combined with Kira's Coordinator abilities, it can simultaneously lock onto numerous enemy units.
The "METAL ROBOT魂 Strike Freedom Gundam [Re:Coordinate]" is based on a modified version of the previously released standard edition, featuring body proportions more faithful to the original design and sharp, cool styling. Most of the movable frame is made of alloy material, combining joint strength with a satisfying weight during handling, and the characteristic exposed gold frame in the design is rendered with an electroplated finish to express a metallic texture.
This version features redesigned molding colors, paint schemes, and body markings for all parts. Compared to the initial version, it is closer to the previously announced 20th Anniversary Edition. The transition order of the main body's white and gray armor has been altered, gold parts like the antenna have a more reddish-gold hue, and blue parts have increased saturation. The new body markings completely remove the overly distorted font of the initial version, adopting a refined style similar to the Strike Freedom Gundam Type II, highlighting the mobile suit's sharp contours.
The armament accessories are the same as previous versions, including two "High-Energy Beam Rifles" that can reproduce separated and combined forms, "Xiphias 3 Rail Cannons" with barrel deployment mechanisms, two "Beam Sabers", "Beam Shield" effects that deploy from both arms. The 8 "Mobile Weapon Wings" mounted on the back can also all be detached, and, combined with a dedicated display stand, can recreate the "Full Burst Mode" where all armaments fire simultaneously!
