Mattel, the renowned American toy manufacturer, has recently officially unveiled a highly anticipated new product under its "Origins" series, which reimagines the 80s "Masters of the Universe" toy line with new specifications. This new item is the "Modulok" action figure, with a suggested retail price of US$31.99. It is currently available for limited pre-order on designated overseas channels such as the well-known American toy websites BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth, with an estimated release in January 2025!
Modulok first appeared as a character belonging to Hordak's "Evil Horde" faction in most works. In the animated series, Galen Nycroft was originally an Eternian scientist who was captured by the Royal Guard after attempting to control Eternia with psychic waves. He later escaped through clever means and reappeared in the form of "Modulok," possessing the ability to reassemble himself into thousands of forms to confuse enemies.
This Modulok action figure references and modifies its appearance from its first debut in the classic toy line in 1985. The improved design, approximately 13.9 cm tall, is slightly larger than the classic version, with added articulation at the elbows and ankles, allowing for more diverse dynamic poses. Of course, the classic playability is also retained this time; the entire body is composed of 34 modular parts. A tool that can also serve as a shield display assists in detaching the ball joints. Accessories also include additional joint parts and a laser gun weapon, allowing toy enthusiasts to creatively arrange and combine thousands of different forms. The playability is truly awesome! Masters of the Universe fans, don't miss out!
