METAL BUILD 'Gundam Astray Red Frame PROJECT ASTRAY' New Specification Refined Version Confirmed for Release!

The popular die-cast toy series 'METAL BUILD', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced the commercialization of its latest product, 'Gundam Astray Red Frame PROJECT ASTRAY', from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ASTRAY. Sales are expected to commence soon at events in the Asian region, with future plans for release within Japan.

The Gundam Astray series consists of mobile suits completed by Orb's state-owned enterprise 'Morgenroete Inc.' during its collaboration with the Atlantic Federation, by illicitly utilizing the Atlantic Federation's MS development technology to enhance Orb's defense capabilities. However, due to the failure in analyzing 'Phase Shift Armor' technology, the armor was instead made from foamed metal, with the defense shortcomings compensated by the superior mobility of its flexible, articulated frame. The protagonist in the story, Lowe Guele, further equipped it with a pseudo-personality computer '8' to assist in operation, wielding physical blade armaments such as the Gerbera Straight and Tiger Pierce to execute exquisite Japanese sword techniques.

While detailed product information for 'METAL BUILD Gundam Astray Red Frame PROJECT ASTRAY' has not yet been released, it is confirmed that, similar to the previous product 'Gundam Astray Blue Frame (Full Weapon Specification) PROJECT ASTRAY', it utilizes the lower body parts from 'Gundam Astray Red Dragonics'. This not only results in a taller and more slender physique but also incorporates new knee joint interlocking mechanisms and waist sliding mechanisms, allowing for more natural poses such as high kneeling. Furthermore, the unit's paint scheme and body marking designs have been refreshed.
