Following the buzz around "Alien: Romulus," streaming platforms Disney+ and Hulu have officially dropped the first 30-second teaser and a visual poster for "Alien: Earth"—the first-ever television spinoff of the classic "Alien" sci-fi franchise. The new series offers a first look at the new story crafted by "Legion" creator Noah Hawley.
"Alien: Earth" is a prequel series to the "Alien" franchise, with the story set in the year 2120, two years before the events of the 1979 film. It follows a makeshift team led by a young woman who discovers one of the deadliest threats imaginable after a mysterious spaceship crash-lands on Earth, unleashing an unpredictable crisis. 
"Alien: Earth" stars Sydney Chandler ("Don't Worry Darling"). The cast also includes Alex Lawther ("Andor"), Timothy Olyphant ("The Book of Boba Fett"), and Essie Davis ("The Babadook").
"Alien: Earth" is slated to premiere on Disney+ and Hulu in 2025.
