To draw more moviegoers to theaters for major blockbusters, cinema chains often release buzzworthy, collectible popcorn buckets designed to boost sales and attendance.
Following the wild Xenomorph-themed bucket for "Alien: Romulus" and the Colosseum-shaped container for "Gladiator II," the upcoming US-Japanese animated film "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim," set to release this December, is also getting its own exclusive collectible.
The newly revealed merchandise for "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim" includes a faux-wood, stein-style soda cup and a massive war hammer popcorn bucket measuring approximately 27 inches (68 cm) long.

As seen in the images, the opening for the popcorn is located on one side of the hammerhead. While fans can technically still enjoy their snack in the theater, the logistics are a bit tricky. Holding it by the base of the head means the long handle could easily hit someone, but gripping it by the handle makes reaching the popcorn incredibly awkward. Either way, it's not exactly a user-friendly design.
Of course, unless a moviegoer actually intends to use this war hammer popcorn bucket as a weapon, in which case it might be quite a practical "tool."
For instance, if you encounter someone using their phone or shining a flashlight during the movie, you could swing this hammer bucket to "remind" them. Or perhaps an accidental bump could escalate into a full-blown popcorn bucket battle. Naturally, this is all in jest—it's probably best not to take things that far! And definitely don't say we gave you the idea.
So, where can you get one? According to reports, this "War of the Rohirrim" popcorn bucket and soda cup set will be sold at AMC Theatres in the US. The cup is priced at $21.99, the popcorn bucket at $32.99, and a combo deal for both will be available for $49.99.
