The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, which offers the most diverse range of mobile suits in the 1/144 scale Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series, has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury," the "HG 1/144 Desultor," scheduled for release in February 2025. Pre-orders for this product began today on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The MD-0021 Desultor is a mobile suit developed by Jeturk Heavy Machinery, serving as the predecessor to their current main model, the Dilanza. Although it is an older model that has been retired from the front lines at the time of the series, its excellent performance and high expandability still allow it to be seen active on the battlefield. During the Quadra Factory attack incident, Shaddiq provided this model to the anti-Spacian organization "Dawn of Fold" to frame Jeturk Heavy Machinery.
The "HG 1/144 Desultor" recreates its distinctive mobile suit design using entirely new molds. The head sensor features a clear part for its cover, reproducing intricate internal mechanical structure details. The mobile suit also boasts a flexible articulation design, allowing for dynamic battle poses with its abundant weapon accessories.
The rich array of weapon accessories includes an "Assault Rifle" with detachable magazine parts, a "Communication Jamming Pod" that can be mounted on the backpack, "Heat Daggers" stored within the twin arm armor, a Rocket Launcher, and a Triple Grenade Launcher. These allow for interchangeable A, B, and C equipment configurations (Alcott's Unit).
