Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division is set to release its latest product from the anime "Mobile Suit Z Gundam," the "HG 1/144 Bolinoak Sammahn," on November 30, 2024. Ahead of its release, official new information including the product's box art design and actual sample images has been unveiled.
Making its debut as an HG Gunpla product ahead of its 40th anniversary, the "HG 1/144 Bolinoak Sammahn" utilizes Bandai's latest technology to revive this classic mobile suit. The entire model employs multiple molded color parts to faithfully reproduce the deep green, light green, red, and yellow armor sections. The head's radome further utilizes new "reflective cut clear parts" and stickers to achieve a brilliant glowing effect.
Furthermore, each joint of the mobile suit features a flexible articulation design, utilizing multi-axis neck and torso joints, along with pull-out shoulder joints, to deliver excellent poseability. The distinctive large backpack on its back, including the four surrounding multi-directional thrusters and three central large thrusters, are all connected with ball joints for free rotation.
Regarding weaponry, both shoulder armor pieces feature deployment mechanisms to recreate the explosive projectile firing state. The massive shield claw on the right arm can also open and close via a two-stage articulation. The armaments include two Beam Tomahawks and two Beam Sabers, with effect parts to recreate their cool appearance when the beams are deployed.
