Japanese model manufacturer Max Factory's action figure series "figma" is releasing a new product based on the popular anime "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a"—the "2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B)" action figure. The suggested retail price is 12,800 JPY, with an estimated release in October 2025!
The TV anime "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a," which began airing in 2023, is produced by A-1 Pictures. It is an adaptation of "NieR:Automata," a spin-off from the "Drakengard" series developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix. One of the three main protagonists in the series is YoRHa No.2 Type B (referred to as 2B), whose name's "B" stands for "Battle." She is a YoRHa combat android, possessing silver-white hair like other YoRHa androids, a calm and collected personality, exquisite combat skills, and an indomitable will.
This figma 2B stands approximately 16 cm tall, transforming 2B's magnificent appearance from the anime into an articulated figure. The sculpt faithfully recreates the voluptuous lines from her hips to her thighs, while her high-heeled boots, extending to her toes, are finished with a glossy paint to capture the texture of patent leather. The wrinkles in her outfit, as well as the cutout designs on her chest and back, are also meticulously reproduced! Accessories include one face plate with a visor and two bare-face expression parts, four sets of interchangeable hands, the Black Box, the small sword "Virtuous Contract," the large sword "Virtuous Treaty," and the support unit Pod 042. These can be combined with the figure's flexible articulation to recreate 2B's various elegant combat poses from the anime!
