World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys officially announced today (29th) their latest product from MARVEL Comics, the "Iron Patriot" 1/6th scale collectible figure! Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on December 9, 2024! The suggested retail price is HKD 2,780.
As a power armor that combines the high-tech embodiment of Iron Man with the patriotic spirit of Captain America, the Iron Patriot has been worn not only by the familiar James Rhodes but also by another famous user in the original comics, Norman Osborn. This time, Hot Toys has faithfully recreated Norman Osborn's transformation into the Iron Patriot, after he modified the Iron Man armor following the comic event "Secret Invasion," where he stopped the Skrulls and became the new generation of American hero.
This figure stands approximately 32.5 cm tall with 30 points of articulation throughout the body, crafted with die-cast material. It accurately reproduces the power armor's red and blue primary colors with silver-gray accents, as depicted in the original comic. In addition to the newly sculpted helmet, the distinctive star patterns on the shoulder and chest armor are meticulously recreated, complemented by exquisitely detailed armor lines and mechanical structures, and a heavy metallic paint application, exuding a profound sense of power.
This Iron Patriot not only features a magnetic function to equip the iconic Captain America shield, allowing for dynamic combat poses, but also offers diverse display options with an interchangeable chest plate for the inverted triangle arc reactor, deployable back air flaps, missile parts, and multiple interchangeable hands. Furthermore, a total of 25 light-up functions are integrated throughout the figure, from the head's twin eyes, chest, and palms, to various points on the suit, creating an even more immersive presence when illuminated! Coupled with the specially designed display base, which also features light-up functions, it truly looks magnificent!
