The renowned Hong Kong articulated figure toy brand "Storm Collectibles", under its 1/12 scale articulated series, is set to release an articulated figure toy of the protagonist "Cobra" from the classic anime 《COBRA》 (COBRA) in the third quarter of 2025, priced at US$95.
《COBRA》 (COBRA, Japanese: コブラ) is a work created by Japanese manga artist Buichi Terasawa. It was first serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 1978, with a movie and TV anime adaptation released in 1982. The work incorporates elements from various genres such as Japanese samurai, 007 spies, and Westerns. The manga has sold over 40 million copies. Taiwan's CTV also aired the anime under the title "The Mysterious Cobra".
The story follows the protagonist Cobra, a space pirate who, to evade capture, deliberately erased his memories and altered his appearance. However, a chance encounter awakened his memories, after which he resumed his active life as a rogue, taking on various commissions (almost always from beautiful women). Tall and strong, he wears a red bodysuit, often has a cigar in his mouth, and his primary weapon is the "Psychogun" on his left arm.
This Cobra articulated figure toy by STORM COLLECTIBLES is produced in 1:12 scale, faithfully recreating Cobra's standard red bodysuit and muscular physique. It includes four interchangeable head sculpts. The accessories, of course, feature a replaceable left arm with the "Psychogun," seven sets of interchangeable hand parts, a revolver, and a lighter essential for smoking cigars. The iconic Johnson jacket he often wears is faithfully reproduced with fabric material.
