"Ambassador Atom" is a manga series by Tezuka-sensei that was serialized in "Shonen" magazine from 1951 to 1952, marking the first appearance of the classic character Astro Boy. The story tells of a future Earth where a large-scale immigrant group arrives from another uninhabitable planet. As tensions rise between the two sides, Earthlings send Ambassador Atom, who is neither an Earthling nor an alien, to attempt peaceful negotiations and explore the issue of coexistence.
This "Ambassador Atom" sofvi figure stands approximately 23 cm tall and was developed under the supervision of Tezuka Productions. It brings to life the unique and elegant curves drawn by Tezuka-sensei, faithfully recreating the classic pose from the manga where Atom closes his eyes and bows his head as the chairman of the Tonpachi Circus introduces him to the crowd. The figure utilizes both glossy and matte paint finishes to accurately reproduce Ambassador Atom's black shirt and plaid pants from the manga, adding visual richness! The packaging design is inspired by manga magazines, featuring selected panels from Tezuka-sensei's works and accented with some fluorescent stickers, showcasing a simple yet elegant texture!
