Bandai's GASHAPON division, following the "CONVERSE ALL STAR HI Miniature Figure Collection", is once again launching a new product themed around the American athletic shoe company CONVERSE – the "CONVERSE ALL STAR HI & WEAPON HI MINI Figure Collection" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per capsule, with an anticipated release in late March 2025!
The ALL STAR was launched by CONVERSE in 1917, designed for basketball. Composed of a rubber sole and canvas upper, its low price and durability made it highly suitable for various consumer needs, later becoming an enduring classic. We believe many toy enthusiasts have a pair in their shoe cabinet! The WEAPON, on the other hand, was a basketball shoe launched in 1986, a style eagerly worn by star players in the late 80s and early 90s. The "Black and White Duo," Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, even endorsed it together!
This "CONVERSE ALL STAR HI & WEAPON HI MINI Miniature Figure Collection" Gashapon transforms the high-top ALL STAR and WEAPON into mini models of approximately 4.5 cm, authentically reproducing the fabric texture using 3D scanning technology! The ALL STAR series now includes the previously unreleased classic white, as well as four new colorways: turquoise, grape purple, and bright orange. A new secret edition with only a 5% chance of being obtained is also included, waiting for everyone to discover! The WEAPON series features the classic gold/purple and black/white colorways from Larry Bird and Magic Johnson's endorsement advertisements. Each style meticulously reproduces details such as the shoe's logo, eyelets, midsole lines, and heel tab, and comes with a proportionally scaled shoe box and tissue paper. It's truly exquisite in every aspect! CONVERSE fans, don't miss out!
