Bradley Cooper has been diligently honing his directing skills in recent years, earning critical acclaim for his self-directed and starring roles in the remake "A Star Is Born" and the biographical film "Maestro." Last year, even before "Maestro" was officially released, he had already set his third directorial project, "Is This Thing On?" A year later, the film's synopsis has finally been revealed.

Industry insider Daniel Richtman today unveiled the film's plot summary on his Patreon page: After many years together, Alex and Tess amicably end their marriage, entering an awkward new phase of life as they navigate co-parenting their two sons and maintaining their friendship while living separately. Meanwhile, Alex discovers a new hobby, gaining a deeper understanding of himself and his emotions in the process.

"Is This Thing On?" will be distributed by Searchlight Pictures. The only confirmed cast members so far are Cooper and his longtime friend Will Arnett (pictured left). Arnett is also co-producing with Cooper and co-wrote the screenplay with Mark Chappell, who penned "See How They Run." Arnett previously collaborated with Chappell on the Netflix series "Flaked," where Arnett starred and served as co-showrunner.

Arnett, known for his comedic roles, has delivered some of his most iconic performances as animated characters, including BoJack in "BoJack Horseman" and Lego Batman in "The Lego Movie" franchise.
