Bandai Namco Toys & Hobby's Gashapon brand, GASHAPON, has announced the latest product from the 3D animation "Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance", the "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE ~Requiem for Vengeance~", from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" Heavy Equipment X Ensemble Gashapon toy series "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE", which features common connection points and infinite customization. It is scheduled for release in late July 2025.
The 3D animation "Mobile Suit Gundam Requiem for Vengeance", produced using the Unreal Engine 5 engine, is a collaboration between Sunrise and SAFEHOUSE. It depicts powerful war scenes through realistic 3DCG animation. The story is set in the Universal Century of the original "Mobile Suit Gundam", portraying a new original story that takes place on the European front during the One Year War.
In this battle, the Zeon forces initially gained an advantage with their new weapon, the "Mobile Suit", successfully penetrating Earth's battlefields. However, due to the Earth Federation Forces' abundant resources, they developed a counter-weapon, the "Gundam", and the war gradually became a stalemate. Eleven months after the war began, one of the bases occupied by the Zeon forces on the Eastern European front was recaptured by the Federation. To reclaim it, the Zeon side dispatched a mixed battalion, which included the "Red Wolves" mobile suit unit, led by protagonist Solari, who had just descended from space.
This "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE ~Requiem for Vengeance~" product features a total of five mobile suits that appear in the series: "Gundam EX", "Zaku II F-Type (Solari's Unit) / (Lucian's Unit) / (Chabbs' Unit) / (Kyle's Unit)". They have been redesigned into an SD (Super Deformed) proportion of approximately 3.5 heads tall, while meticulously reproducing the intricate details designed by mechanical designer Kimitoshi Yamane as much as possible. The color differences of each unit are expressed through molded part colors and paint applications, and they come with their characteristic armaments such as beam rifles, beam sabers, shields, Zaku machine guns, and heat hawks.
