Deadline reports that Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who previously wrote and directed "Don Jon" and the Apple TV+ series "Mr. Corman," is gearing up for his next project as writer, director, and star, and he's bringing some of his closest industry friends along for the ride.
One of those friends is Anne Hathaway, who is set to star. Hathaway and Gordon-Levitt first connected on the 2005 film "Havoc" and later shared the screen in "The Dark Knight Rises." Hathaway also made a cameo appearance in Gordon-Levitt's feature directorial debut, "Don Jon."

Another collaborator is "Knives Out" director Rian Johnson, whose production company T-Street will produce the film. Gordon-Levitt has appeared in nearly all of Johnson's directorial works, starring in "Brick" and "Looper," appearing in an episode of the Johnson-produced detective series "Poker Face," and frequently making cameos in his other films.
The film is currently untitled and plot details have not been announced, though it is described as an AI-themed thriller. The screenplay is written by Gordon-Levitt and Kieran Fitzgerald, who was one of the writers on "Snowden," which starred Gordon-Levitt. Additionally, "Poker Face" star Natasha Lyonne shares a story credit on the film with Gordon-Levitt and Fitzgerald.
