The plastic model kit series 'AMAKUNITECH', launched by AMAKUNI, a model brand under Japan's HobbyJapan company, has announced its latest product from 'The King of Braves Gaogaigar', the 'Genesic Gaogaigar Golden Destroyer Ver.', slated for release in June 2025.
Genesic Gaogaigar is the 'Strongest Destroyer God' created by the 'Green Planet', the home world of Mamoru and the mechanical lion Galeon. It is formed by the combination of Genesic Gaigar and five Genesic Machines, representing Gaogaigar's true original form. It was originally created by Green Planet leader Cain to combat the 'Sol 11 Planetary Masters', artificial warriors created by the Red Planet. However, the control center for the Zonder Metal on the Purple Planet suddenly went berserk, triggering the 'Machine World Ascension' crisis where the planet was eroded by Zonders. The Green Planet leader then ordered the Genesic Machines to be modified into units specifically for combating Zonders. However, the speed of the erosion was unexpected, and there was only enough time to complete Galeon's modification. The remaining Genesic Machines were sealed within G-Crystals, and Mamoru and Galeon were urgently sent to Earth to escape.
The 'AMAKUNITECH Genesic Gaogaigar Golden Destroyer Ver.' is based on the previously released standard version, with the vast majority of its exterior armor parts changed to luxurious gold electroplated parts. Joint parts, which are prone to scratching, have also been replaced with gold molded plastic. Effect parts, such as the hair, Will Knife, and Screw Driver, are made with clear yellow, showcasing the ultimate golden radiance reminiscent of Final Gaogaigar.
Other specifications remain the same as the standard version. Once assembled, it stands approximately 18 cm tall, inheriting the design of the finished figure 'AMAKUNI KISHIN Genesic Gaogaigar'. The design was handled by the AMAKUNI and Sentinel team, led by mechanical designer Toshihisa Miyauchi, who re-envisioned the anime's design silhouette to give it a more powerful body proportion and high-density detailed sculpting. While it does not recreate the transformation and combination gimmick, it boasts more stable joints and numerous articulation points for easier posing. With interchangeable hand parts, it can recreate poses for techniques such as 'Broken Magnum' and 'Hell and Heaven'.
