Master of Death or Rebirth? FigZero 1/6 Kamen Rider No. 0 from "Shin Kamen Rider"

Butterfly-Type Cyborg Kamen Rider No. 0

Kamen Rider No. 0's true identity is Ichiro Midorikawa, the son of Dr. Midorikawa and Ruriko's elder brother in the Kamen Rider story. In the original narrative, Ichiro Midorikawa transformed himself into a butterfly-type cyborg, becoming the first cyborg based on a butterfly and possessing the power to absorb souls. He became the leader of the evil organization 'Satan's Gang' (Shocker), and along with fellow cyborgs Kamen Rider No. 1 and No. 2, Takeshi Hongo and Hayato Ichimonji, he launched the entire Kamen Rider multiverse!

Kamen Rider No. 0 was designed by Yutaka Izubuchi, a leading figure in Japan's renowned mechanical design industry, and portrayed by Mirai Moriyama in the film. In the movie, he wears the original silver-black Kamen Rider mask and a blue Cyclone Driver. In this FigZero action figure, he sports a unique appearance in a blue leather suit, which is distinctly different from the typical fierce 'Rider' aesthetic. His iconic long hair, visible beneath the helmet, is also faithfully reproduced in this figure.

The FigZero 1/6 Kamen Rider No. 0 (Shin Kamen Rider) stands approximately 11.7 inches (29.7 cm) tall. Its full articulation is consistent with FigZero's usual high standards; this meticulously crafted figure boasts over 32 points of articulation, maintaining both posability and durability. It features intricate sculpted details and includes weathered paint effects on the gloves and boots. With its highly detailed helmet sculpt, tailored combat suit, and transformation belt, it perfectly captures the character's unforgettable appearance from the film.

Kamen Rider No. 0 is primarily constructed from ABS, PVC, POM, and fabric, with the costume combining fabric and plastic parts. The helmet features rooted hair, and the eyes are equipped with an LED light-up function. The fabric scarf contains a metal wire, allowing for custom posing. The figure's costume includes a top, gloves, transformation belt, and trousers. Accessories include four pairs of interchangeable hands and two pairs of interchangeable boots: one pair with separated ankle joints for enhanced articulation, and another seamless, one-piece pair for a more aesthetic look.

The overall sculpt and appearance are closer to the live-action portrayal and more aesthetically pleasing! The head sculpt is highly faithful to the suit design, with excellent decal printing for the emblem and precise paintwork on the belt. The mask and all body parts perfectly replicate the look of the suit, and combined with that strand of dark long hair, the overall appearance is simply impeccable!

The QC, coloring, and paint application are commendable! The articulation in all parts of the body is also excellent, with appropriate tightness, so you don't have to worry about posing him in any scene from the show.

Finally, rather than calling them drawbacks, these are more like suggestions... After all, 12-inch figures are based on human proportions, so expressing the feet in the form of leather boots inevitably carries some risk when standing. Therefore, if a dedicated stand were included for support, No. 0 could be posed in any running or attacking stance from the show, and then displayed perfectly in a showcase!
