Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. is releasing the latest merchandise for the popular remastered anime "Ranma 1/2" through its super popular "Ichiban Kuji" (Ichibankuji) series, where every draw wins a prize! The "Ichiban Kuji Ranma 1/2" has a suggested retail price of 750 JPY per draw and is scheduled to launch in January 2025.
The romantic comedy manga "Ranma 1/2," created by Rumiko Takahashi, was released in 1987 and is one of the cherished childhood memories for many from the 70s and 80s generations. With its humorous and comical plot combined with beautiful and handsome character designs, it is considered one of Rumiko Takahashi's representative works. After 30 years, "Ranma 1/2" will be handled by MAPPA to release a remastered new anime version, with all the original voice actors returning! The protagonist, "Saotome Ranma," travels around with his father to train in martial arts. In Jusenkyo, a fictional location in Qinghai Province, China, he accidentally fell into the "Spring of Drowned Girl" and was cursed to transform into a female body when touched by cold water, but can return to his male form by pouring hot water on himself.
The "Ichiban Kuji Ranma 1/2" is based on the style of the remastered anime, presenting designs with softer color tones and adjusted character proportions. It includes a rich variety of prizes from A to I, plus the Last One Prize and Double Chance campaign. The character figures include the A Prize Ranma (Female), holding a bucket in her hand, with a base featuring water splash effect parts kicked up by her feet, making the overall look even more playful and cute; the D Prize P-chan figure with an umbrella stand, where you can place pens, stamps, and other desk accessories in the umbrella; and the Last One Prize Shampoo character figure, wearing a Cat Cafe apron and alluringly playing with her hair, truly captivating! Additionally, there are lifestyle merchandise items such as bath towels, Genma (Panda form) mochi cushions, ramen bowls, tableware, hand towels, acrylic stands, and rubber collectibles, making for a colorful draw!
